
New Beginnings Housing’s mission is to provide safe, decent, affordable living environments to low income households, with an emphasis on meeting the housing needs of the growing low income senior population. To that end, we will create high quality affordable housing in a community that provides opportunities for financial and personal empowerment and enhanced quality of life for our residents.
Greg Urrutia
Greg Urrutia has a diverse business and finance background. He has been involved in the affordable housing industry for the past decade. Prior to starting New Beginnings Housing, LLC in 2006, Greg spent five years as chief financial officer for a diversified multi-state non-profit affordable housing provider, primarily responsible for financial operations and relationships with institutions and agencies. He has extensive experience with Section 42 affordable housing developments, with practical experience ranging from site acquisition and land entitlement, project financing, and contract negotiations through project completion and lease up. Greg spent over 15 years in commercial and real estate banking. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School receiving top honors and the Kermit O. Hanson award.
Cathy Venrick
Cathy Venrick has worked in the housing industry since 2004. Prior to starting New Beginnings Housing, LLC in 2006, Cathy was project manager for a $24 million, 680 bed student housing facility for WyoTech College in Laramie, Wyoming, acting as the primary intermediary between owner and general contactor, negotiating and administering contracts and overseeing construction, and interfacing and negotiating with governmental agencies and public utilities. Prior to entering the housing industry, Cathy was the controller and operations manager for a diversified, closely held corporation active in infrastructure construction.
Jeffrey Milich
Jeffrey Milich provides construction management and consulting services for New Beginnings Housing. Jeff is president and owner of Panorama Construction, Inc., a full service commercial and residential construction company started in 1992 and based in Nampa, Idaho. Jeff has almost 30 years experience in construction management and direct project oversight. His project experience ranges from multifamily and custom home construction to infrastructure development and large agricultural facility construction.
Whitney Urrutia
After working with us on a part time basis for the past few years, Whitney joined New Beginnings Housing coordinating supportive services and working directly with our non-profit partners. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a bachelor's degree in psychology, concentrating on social service. Immediately following college, she served with AmeriCorps overseeing a mentoring program for at-risk high school students. She has spent significant time volunteering with disadvantaged youth and providing crisis/referral phone line services. Whitney assists in the coordination of supportive services on residential properties.
